We had a long sail through the Rhine River Gorge this morning, which was a collection of beautiful villages who each had their own castles or cathedrals. Every time you turned a corner there was another beautiful town.

We arrived in Rudesheim, a smallish town on the river. There were loads of people sitting along the waterfront enjoying the beautiful sunny day and the town was full of locals and tourists. We took a tiny tram car like train to a spot in the town and then walked to a cable car that took us above the town for some views.

After the cable car we wandered through town and bought a sticker for my laptop. We then found a little wine kiosk under a tree and had a glass of wine. The people in town were very friendly and welcoming.

We then found our way back to the ship and pulled out of town heading towards Miltenberg.

We met a really nice couple from New Zealand on the cruise - Jill and Andy who we usually sit with at meals. tonight was Mother's day and the ladies were all given roses but Conrad and Andy had to also get in on the photos.
