For our 3rd day in Paris we had plans to visit the Eiffel Tower and then walk down to the Champs Elysees to see the Arc De Triomphe. We decided to take a cab to the Eiffel Tower and arrived before our timed ticket so we decided to take some pictures

Once out time arrived we entered a line where we had to pass through security and then were able to enter the line for an elevator to the 2nd level of the tower. We got off and went around to see each view.

After we finished taking pictures, we walked rom the Eiffel tower through the surrounding neighborhoods and down the Avenue Montaigne where many of the big fashion houses have their stores.

Avenue Montaigne eventually joins the Champs-Elysees where we stopped at an outdoor cafe to have lunch. We had pink Champagne (when in Paris) and hamburgers and fries. We also had chocolate milkshakes for dessert. The people watching was good, and there were several pickpockets casing our table but we were careful not to leave anything within reach.
After we were done with lunch we walked up the Champs-Elysees to the Arc De Triomphe.
There is a very busy traffic circle around the monument that we stopped to take a photo of.

We went under ground and up some stairs to the monument. We had timed tickets but could also have purchased just in time tickets in the tunnel below the monument. Since we were early and they wouldn't allow us to enter, we took some pictures from the grounds, and waited until it was our entry time. We probably would have been better off just buying tickets when we arrived and waiting in the relatively short line to enter that way.

Once we entered through security we were able to take a small elevator to the top of the monument to see the views.

After we finished at the Arc De Triomphe we headed back to the hotel to rest before dinner. We had reserved a spot at an Italian restaurant called Via Del Campo. It was on a little side street and quite small but the food and wine were wonderful and we enjoyed dinner quite a bit. We headed back to the hotel to get packed and ready to head out of Paris tomorrow to Normandy.
