Our first full day in Paris was a beautiful sunny day. We took a photo of Sacre Coer from the hotel room before venturing out and then took a G7 taxi from our hotel to Saint Chapelle a beautiful old church turned museum.

Saint Chapelle from the outside We waited until it was time for us to enter for our timed ticket and thought that the ground floor was really beautiful

We then climbed a narrow staircase and through a small door we were met with this gorgeous chapel on the 2nd floor

Once we left Sainte Chapelle we walked over to see how much of Notre Dame we could see. The roads to Notre Dame are beautiful in themselves crossing the river along the ornate bridges.

Some of the scaffolding is now being removed from Notre Dame and we walked the streets around it looking from different angles.

After we walked around the cathedral we sat at a little outdoor cafe and enjoyed a pastry and a coffee before heading to the Louvre for our timed entrance. We also bought a shirt for Baylor from a vendor near Notre Dame who had just had his own baby.

Our entry time arrived and we waited in a line to enter. Once inside we made out way to the Mona Lisa first. She was surrounded by a large crowd but they were well behaved and each person waited their turn, took a look and then moved quickly out of the way for others to see. She is very small compared to what you think she will be.

After the Mona Lisa we walked through several of the exhibit halls viewing some of the paintings and then wandered by the original Venus De Milo almost by mistake.

We went over to see the Egyptian art before leaving.

We were tired from walking all day so we took a cab back from the Louvre to the hotel to get a rest before we had dinner on the Bateaux Parisienne boats for dinner on the Seine.
We purchased seats in the front of the boat which were more expensive but we were glad that we did. We had a small table for 2 next to the window at the front of the boat. Many of the other seats were long communal tables with views that were not as nice. We were served champagne and then several wines along with dinner as we cruised up and down the Seine.

Since the boat landing was so close to the Eiffel Tower we walked over to get a few pictures

We took a taxi home from the Eiffel tower to the hotel and had a glass of wine at the hotel bar before heading up to bed.
