Ogunquit day 2 - 10/18/2025

We got up in time for breakfast at the Blue Shutters Inn. It’s served from 8:30-9:45 in the main Inn. They serve one, two course meal each morning, and it’s written on the blackboard in the dining room the day before. Today was butterscotch yogurt with fruit and granola followed by blueberry pancakes. The new owner and his wife and the woman who works at the front desk were taking orders and serving. The food was delicious and they did their best to accommodate special requests. There was also coffee and tea in the lobby starting at 7:30. This is a tiny little property but they do use every inch of it well. We are really enjoying our stay here.

Cody woke up early and he and Kasey joined us for a walk on Marginal way. It’s a beautiful walk made even nicer by the gorgeous weather.

We walked as far as a cute little town called Perkins Cove which has a bunch of little restaurants and shops and we walked around for a bit.

We then walked back to our hotel and into town to have some lunch. We enjoyed the many Halloween decorations along the way.

We had lunch at a little place called Cage Prego which looked like an ice cream place but they had really good Italian food.

We headed back to the hotel for a break and sat out by the fire pit again.

We gathered again for dinner and walked into town to a restaurant called Crew. I would recommend it. The food was fine but it was so loud that we weren’t able to hear each other. We had trouble getting reservations anywhere so in the future I would book ahead. We got some ice cream on our walk home from dinner and then sat out by the fire pit until bedtime. It was great to get to spend some quality time with Cody and Kasey.
