We got all of our bags out last night, and had an early start this morning so we went to The Veranda one last time for breakfast. We saw Joy our usual Veranda greeter as well as Ni Lui who was our evening dining room waitress and said goodbye. We had one last breakfast and one last sticky bun and headed off the ship. We collected our luggage and waited for our driver to arrive. Since our flight to Singapore isn't until 11:40 PM we booked at room at the JW Marriott in Mumbai right next to the airport so that we had a place to wait. We were able to rest, shower and make sure that our luggage wasready for Singapore where we will send the majority of our suitcases home before heading to South Africa for the safari.
We had breakfast and lunch at the hotel and got caught up on some things. At 7 PM we headed over to the Mumbai airport.
We were flying Singapore First Class Suites so we had a nice expedited check in process and were then escorted into a roped off section of the Adani lounge in the Mumbai airport to wait for our flight. Our suites on the plane could be connected to each other so we had a huge area with 2 lounge chairs, 2 TVs, 2 beds that could connect to a double bed, and all of the amenities we could ask for. We had some Crystal champagne and both decided to forgo the meal since it was so late. Shawn changed into her provided pajamas and had the bed made up. The flight was only 5 hours long but it allowed her to get about 4 hours of good sleep. Conrad didn't want to lay down and wasn't able to fall asleep in the lounger. He's fighting a cold.
The suites are on the upper floor of the A380 - our first time flying one. The bathrooms in first class are also massive. It was a really nice experience. They don't have these on the ultra long haul plane that we took from the US, but that would have been nice.
