Today we visited Quepos, a small port town which was mostly rural. We drove to the Manuel Antonio National Park where we took a guided tour. This wasn't an excursion that we would recommend to others. The entrance to the park was in a small tourist area with narrow streets and long lines to get into the entrance to the park. Once inside the park we were guided by tour guides with spotting scopes who took us down very crowded paths, and when they were told by other guides about wildlife sightings, they would set up their scopes alongside a handful of other guides and the groups of people would crowd in to get a peek through the scope.
The wildlife was not abundant, and what we saw was mostly not close enough to be photographed.

Once we followed the crowded paths we made it to a very crowded beach area where we were given 20 minutes to put our feet in the water or go to the restroom before we hiked back out of the park.
This is our last night on the ship, and tomorrow we disembark in Costa Rica where we will spend a few days birding with a private guide and staying in a resort near San Jose Airport.
