We had breakfast on the 31st floor of the hotel which had beautiful views of the city.

We decided to spend the morning walking around near the hotel. We had seen a pretty cool bridge from the hotel - called Puente de la Mujer or Women's bridge and we wanted to see the Plaza de Mayo the city square and a foundational site of the city.
They were a short walk from the hotel and it was a gorgeous day.

We also saw Casa Rosado where Eva Peron supposedly spoke when her husband Juan Peron was detained, but there is question about the validity of that story and whether Eva spoke or just Juan Peron.

We sat at a little waterfront cafe on the way back from the hotel and had a lemonade and enjoyed the parakeets in the trees.

We walked back to the hotel to get ready to meet a friend from work Sergio, who lives in Buenos Aires. He met us at a traditional Argentinian steak house where we had many kinds of meat and some nice desserts. We then walked along the waterfront with Sergio back to the hotel before he headed home. This will probably be the last time we see him because Amazon is ending the contract with the company that he works for.

Back at the hotel we've been repacking luggage and deciding what goes to Antartica and what stays behind until we return on our way home. We have very strict size and weight restrictions on the Charter to Ushuaia where we head in the morning to embark on our voyage. We have a short cocktail reception this evening to meet the rest of the group, and then it's final packing and bags out for pick up in preparation for an early morning departure.
