Arriving in Rome

We flew through the night last night and no one got much sleep. When the sun came up we looked out the windows and we were flying over the Alps. For as far as you could see there were snow covered peaks and in many of the valleys small towns. Then we flew down the western coast of Italy and into Rome. We were afraid that we might not make our 10:00 shuttle to the airport because we had to go through immigration and baggage claim and customs. Well the guy in immigration was on the phone and never even looked up as he checked our passports, and customs was basically a hallway with absolutely no one checking anything. welcome to Italy 😉 The tour company seems very organized with lots of people in the airport with signs, and we got right onto our bus to the hotel. We are on our way into Rome now, hopefully to check into our hotel and get a quick cat nap before we meet our guide.
