8/5/2019 – Spokane to Vancouver

Monday was mostly a travel day. We got up at 2 AM and headed for the airport by 4. We flew to Salt Lake and the on to Vancouver. After spending an hour and a half in customs we got a cab and made it to the hotel by about 2PM. Our room wasn’t ready so we grabbed some lunch in the hotel restaurant and checked into the room afterwards. The hotel had a gorgeous view of the harbor where we could watch the float planes taking off and landing.
We took a little rest and then walked along the waterfront for a while. We also grabbed some Tim Hortons donuts to leave in the room for Tuesday breakfast because our tour left before the restaurant opened. Finally we got some Gelato instead of dinner since we had such a late lunch.
The waterfront was pretty but we had an early bus to catch so we headed back to the hotel.
