I tried to post this once already. Here’s another try.

After a full day Tuesday, we had a day of rest on Wednesday. Other than putting gas in the car and stopping at an awesome bakery for Donuts (Ted’s), we were pretty lazy today.

The kids went down to the beach early and we followed not too long afterward. A Monk seal was sleeping on the beach not far from the villa so we all trekked down to see it. He was sleeping out on the sand. They have signs all around saying that they are just sleeping. That’s probably because they look dead until they sneeze, which they do a lot.

The villa comes with a beach locker stocked with chairs and snorkel equipment so we tried some snorkeling in the cove here. There were a surprising number of very colorful tropical fish so it was worth the effort.

We decided to stay low key for dinner. The villas have two grills for anyone to use so we went to the grocery store and bought burger and hot dogs and chicken. We cooked right outside of the villa and everyone enjoyed dinner. We had an early to bed night since Thursday is a full day on the big island at Volcano National Park.
